Deadline Clock
NZ working-day countdown and statutory deadline management for s92 responses.
The Deadline Clock panel in the Response Builder displays a live countdown to the s92 response deadline, calculated using New Zealand working days.
How the Clock Works
The NZ working-day engine excludes:
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- National public holidays: New Year's Day, Day after New Year's Day, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, King's Birthday, Matariki, Labour Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day
- Regional anniversary days applicable to the council location
| Clock Status | Colour | Action Required |
|---|---|---|
| Overdue | Red | Response is overdue — contact council immediately |
| Critical (≤3 days) | Orange | Submit response today or request extension from council |
| Urgent (≤5 days) | Amber | Prioritise finalisation and approval |
| On Track (>5 days) | Green | Continue drafting at normal pace |
Updating the Deadline
If the council grants a deadline extension, update the response date in the letter settings (accessible from the ⋯ menu on the letter card in the Inbox). The clock will recalculate immediately.
RMA s92B Reference
All deadline calculations reference RMA s92B and the council's specified response period. If no period is specified in the s92 letter, the platform defaults to 20 working days. Always confirm the deadline with the specific wording of the s92 letter received.
