Portal Readiness

The Portal Readiness checker verifies that your listing meets the data requirements of the two major NZ property portals before you submit it manually. It does not connect to the portals automatically — it gives you a checklist so you know exactly what to fix first.

Accessing the Checker

The Portal Readiness panel appears at the top of every listing editor page, collapsed by default. Click it to expand the full checklist. A summary score (e.g. REA 7/9 · TradeMe 6/10) is always visible.

REA.co.nz Requirements

• Headline — required (any non-empty title)
• Description — required, minimum 50 characters
• Full address — required (street address, suburb, and city)
• Property type — required
• Sale method — required
• At least 1 photo — required (5+ recommended for best listing performance)
• Bedrooms — recommended
• Bathrooms — recommended
• Price information — recommended (asking price or display text such as 'Deadline Sale')

TradeMe Property Requirements

• Headline — required
• Description — required, minimum 100 characters (stricter than REA)
• Full address — required
• Property type — required
• Sale method — required
• Price or POA — required (TradeMe does not allow unpublished prices)
• At least 1 photo — required
• Bedrooms, bathrooms, land/floor area — recommended

Submitting to Portals

Once the checker shows all required fields as passed (green), use the Submit on REA.co.nz or Submit on TradeMe Property links to open the respective agent portal. Copy your listing headline using the Copy button for quick pasting.
