A Request for Information (RFI) is a formal query raised by a subcontractor or contractor seeking clarification on design intent, specifications, or site conditions. Timely RFI management prevents construction delays.

Creating an RFI

  1. 1Navigate to the RFIs tab within your project.
  2. 2Click + New RFI.
  3. 3Enter: subject, description, the discipline or consultant who should respond (e.g., structural, architectural), and the required response date.
  4. 4Attach any relevant drawings or documents.
  5. 5Click Submit. The responsible consultant receives an email notification with a link to respond.

Tracking Responses

Open RFIs are highlighted by age: ≤3 days (green), 3–7 days (amber), >7 days (red). Use the Escalate function to notify the responsible party's manager if an RFI remains unanswered beyond the required response date.
